After 5 years of offering the Awards for Excellence in Poetry and Prose, we find that we are no longer able to continue the competition. It has been a wonderful experience and a labor of love. We're sorry the contest must end.

I want to thank each and every contestant for entering our competition.  We have found so many wonderful writers out there. You are talented group of women. Portia enjoyed working with women such as yourselves -- and she would be proud to know that you have  taken the time and effort to send us your entries and trust us with your work.
